My paintings explore the unconscious dreams, desires and fantasies at play beneath the surface of our everyday lives. The images depict moments or scenarios of heightened significa nce or emotion. The work often focuses scenarios where fantasy and reality combine, often focusing on dreamlike scenarios such as weddings, prom nights, first dates and the like. I’m interested in the rituals, ceremony and dress associated with weddings, and how these moments exist in our personal and collective fantasies. Show more
