I wanted to explore the power of three. We see in 3 dimensions and three is the smallest number you need to make a pattern - the perfect combination of simplicity and rhythm. There is a Latin phrase, ‘Omne Trium Perfectum’ - every set of three is complete. I wanted to explore this with transparent discs that converge to make the ‘radical centre’ and also see how 3 dimensional shapes can be perceived in different ways. Transitions is an original painting using Montana spray paint; on 12” X 12”, 240 gsm textured paper. It comes signed and stamped, with a window mount and backing board.
