Trapeze was formed in 1969, the band originally featured former The Montanasmembers John Jones (trumpet, vocals) and Terry Rowley (keyboards), and former Finders Keepers members Glenn Hughes (bass, vocals, piano), Mel Galley (guitar, vocals) and Dave Holland (drums). Jones and Rowley left the band following the release of their self-titled debut album in 1970, with the lineup of Hughes, Galley and Holland continuing as a trio. Originally released in 1970 and produced by John Lodge of The Moody Blues, this landmark album captured the band's early psychedelic and progressive rock soundbefore they evolved into the hard-rock powerhouse that would influence generations of rock musicians. Glenn Hughes would go on to Deep Purple for which was inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mel Galleywould go on to Whitesnake and Dave Holland to Judas Priest. Trapezehas not been released on vinyl since 1970 and now has been fully remastered and comes on Blue 180-gram vinyl and a beautiful inner sleeve (limited to 500copies pressed).
