TRICKSTUFF MAXIMA HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES FULL THROTTLE BRAKING Available at Bike Bunker Singapore On the steepest and roughest tracks, where the cocktail of stress hormones and endorphins blur your judgement, it is crucial to remain composed. The MAXIMA is developed for this balancing act at your own limit with one goal: pushing the boundaries in terms of braking power and controllability. There is a docile nature to the MAXIMA that may not initially be obvious. The smooth operation of the mechanism ensures a consistently predictable bite point and allows the braking force to be modulated down to the finest degree, maintaining control in even seemingly unrideable sections. This fidelity is crucial to harness the ludicrous power of the Maxima, waiting to be awoken. Its enormous strength results from the hydraulic transmission of the 9mm pump piston to four 16/17mm caliper pistons and the exceptionally high mechanical transmission ratio created by the lever. The exceptionally high mechanical transmission ratio due to the lever geometry minimizes the finger force required even on the steepest chutes. The 7075 aluminum CNC-milled brake calipers with optimized steel yoke bolts ensure high caliper stiffness. In combination with the Goodridge steel flex or Kevlar hoses installed, this results in the enormous rigidity of the overall system, which keeps the power in check. The balance between control and braking power is at your fingertips. So, are you ready to poke the bear? DISC THICKNESS2.30 mm BRAKE HOSEGoodridge black, Goodridge carbon effect, Goodridge raw, Kevlar black The Goodridge steel braided hose contributes to the immense stiffness of the overall system. The high-pressure-resistant Kevlar hose is the perfect match for internal routing in narrow frames. The knee lever effect in the lever geometry creates the exceptionally high mechanical Stylish superpower. The 730 POWER+ pad perfectly rounds off the MAXIMA and ensures impressive braking power and fading stability with precise modulation. The brake pad is also compatible with Hope Tech V4. The 7075 aluminum CNC-milled brake calipers with preloaded yoke bolts from steel ensure high rigidity. Hollow stainless steel pistons significantly reduce the heat transfer into the brake caliper. Modulation is essential for maintaining control in critical situations and achieving an optimum braking effect. As soon as the wheels lock, the braking distance increases. The modulation is influenced by various factors. Ergonomic and adjustable brake levers, the quality of the brake fluid and optimal bleeding of the brake all contribute to modulation just as much as the quality of the brake pads and brake discs. In addition, modulation is largely affected by the friction of the moving parts, such as the seals and pistons of a brake. High or inconsistent friction reduces modulation. Besides tight tolerances, Trickstuff brakes offer sophisticated features to keep friction low and maximize modulation predictable braking characteristic that enables precise control of the braking force. PETER KAISER MAXIMA - to me, the maximum I could demand of a brake in any way. I’ve now spend multiple years on these brakes, they have never let me down and I would not want to miss a set of MAXIMA's on my freeride bikes. To me MAXIMA’s are just the top notch of mechanical engineering - having a background in metal engineering myself, I do appreciate Trickstuff’s attention to detail on that end. MAXIMA does not only look good, it has a super precise breaking point, lots and lots of breaking power and all in all just feels really good. Whether it’s fast ridge lines, steep chutes or adjusting your speed into big jumps - I have lots of trust in these brakes.
