Written as the theme song for the Japanese television drama 35-sai, Ima Sara Koi toka Arienai (35: It's Impossible to Fall in Love Now), ‘Candle’ showcases a new side to one of Jap an's most exciting modern rock bands. While TRiDENT have built their reputation on explosive performances, technical musicianship and hard-hitting anthems, ‘Candle’ places equal emphasis on emotional depth, capturing the hope and uncertainty that comes with learning to trust and love again. Inspired by the lives of women navigating love, marriage, careers and the difficult choices that come with adulthood, the song takes its title from the small flame that refuses to go out. A symbol of resilience, hope and the courage to keep moving forward. Vocalist and guitarist ASAKA wrote both the lyrics and music, with an arrangement by Shota Horie, whose credits include works for LiSA and ReoNa, as well as his acclaimed Vocaloid project, kemu. Rich melodies, cinematic dynamics and ASAKA's heartfelt vocal performance create a deeply relatable love song that extends far beyond the drama it accompanies. Show more
