Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum) is undoubtedly one of the most popular deciduous bonsai species – and for good reason. With its vigorous growth and adaptability to various styles and climates, the Trident Maple excels in creating magnificent bonsai compositions. These healthy starts offer tremendous potential for developing squat, sturdy bases ideal for root-over-rock plantings, imposing informal uprights, or the compact sumo style. The small, distinctive tri-lobed leaves reduce easily. A must for any collection. Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter.
