Constructed from the 7075-T6 aluminum with a weather and wear resistant black finish, this optic features a waterproof housing capable of enduring depths of up to 66 feet, and a tempered glass lens. The RMR HD utilizes a forward-mounted light sensor, which allows the optic to gather precise lighting data directly from the target's direction, rather than using ambient lighting information, which avoids washing out the reticle and target. The RMR HD's distinct shape enhances its strength by diverting force away from the lens. Additionally, the RMR HD uses maintains the same footprint as the original Trijicon RMR, and as a result this optic allows users to use the same holsters.
