The Trillium cuneatum, also known as Little Sweet Betsy, is a simple, but beautiful low-lying plant with large green mottled leaves surrounding a lovely sky-facing maroon flower. T rilliums are incredibly hardy and such can be planted throughout the year, although they will do best when planted in autumn from August to October. Trillium cuneatum is a forest-dwelling plant so can be scorched in full sun, they should be planted partial to full shade in well-drained soil. Trilliums like many perennial plants can take quite a long time to establish, but they are very long-lived once settled in, producing beautiful flowers through April and May for many years to come.
