Plastic fades because UV breaks down the polymer at the surface and plasticizers migrate out. A dressing does not reverse that — nothing sold in a spray bottle does. What it does is fill the micro-texture so light reflects evenly again, which reads as restored color, and leave behind UV blockers that slow further degradation. The visual improvement is real. The chemistry underneath is conditioning and protection, not repair. Will it make my dashboard glare?Not if you wipe it dry. Applied and buffed off immediately it leaves a satin finish. Left to sit, it builds gloss — which is fine on door panels and terrible on a dashboard under a windshield. Wipe dry on anything in your line of sight. Does it work on Rivian exterior cladding?That's one of the surfaces it gets used on most. Textured black cladding dulls quickly and shows every water spot. Apply thin, work it in with the towel rather than flooding the surface, and wipe the excess before it dries. Will it migrate onto my touchscreen?No. Silicone-heavy solvent dressings creep as they warm up, which is how you end up with haze on a display you never sprayed. This is water-based and stays put.
