Same design as the Swiss class RAm TEE I 501 and 502. Built in 1957, original version from Era III. Used for Trans Europe Express service in Switzerland, Germany, and the Benelux countries. The train has a 21-pin digital connector with a bridge plug for conventional operation. It also has a 5-pole motor with skewed commutator segments and a flywheel, centrally mounted in the powered end car. Both trucks are powered through cardan shafts. The headlights are warm white LEDs; they can be controlled digitally after a decoder is installed. The 66719 lighting kit can be installed in the train. The train has continuous electrical connections and special close couplings with a guide mechanism between the cars. The engineer's cab in the powered end car has a figure of an engineer. The train has separately applied metal grab irons. The train has a reproduction of a Scharfenberg coupler at both ends. The minimum radius for operation is 419 mm / 16-1/2".
