Trouvaille, oil, acrylic and enamel on canvas, 70 x 70 x 3 cm Trouvaille, Something beautiful found by chance. A hidden corner at the bottom of my garden, flourishing and flowering a rainbow of blooms for butterflies to dance among. Inspired by nature and the fleeting bloom of a summer garden, in Trouvaille I wanted to suggest a special place where butterflies dance above hydrangea flowers. Created using expressionist inspired dripped and thrown paint, Trouvaille incorporates impressionist floral elements in a maximalist colour scheme to suggest the joy and happiness one feels when finding something unexpected and beautiful.
