With a great fountain pen, you can write many beautiful things and amazing ideas. And from there, many good things are believed to come. We hope that with our Dream Pen, many dreams will be written about and become true. True Ebonite Ebonite is a great material made from natural rubber with a durable, warm, and luxurious feel for handwriting. Ebonite was originally used to make fountain pens in the early 20th century. However, due to its complexity in production, it was later abandoned by most manufacturers in favor of various plastics, which were easier to work with. Today, as a homage to traditional pen manufacturing, we are honored to restore Ebonite as the material of all of our pens. The True Ebonite fountain pen is a combination of vintage materials and minimal design. Our Ebonite is crafted into your fountain pen with the highest precision. Hold your True Ebonite fountain pen and feel the best quality in material for writing instruments. Product care: Ebonite 1. Do not soak your Ebonite products in water for longer than three minutes. Prolonged exposure to water will lead to discoloration.2. Do not leave your Ebonite products under direct sunlight or a dry environment. 3. Do not expose your Ebonite products to extreme weather conditions that might cause damage. 4. Do not use cleaning solution unless you are certain it will not damage the Ebonite material. If you would like to preemptively protect your Ebonite pen, you can apply a light coating of Renaissance Wax once every 6 months. If you are unsure, please contact [email protected] for more information. Ebonite is vulcanized rubber, which means that prolonged exposure to heat can result in oxidization. Oxidized ebonite will feel sticky to the touch, and while it won't compromise its structural integrity, it may greatly reduce your comfort while writing. To mitigate the effects of oxidization for your Ebonite Fountain Pen, we recommend the following: 1. Wipe your pen with a soft microfiber cloth. If you do not currently have one specifically for fountain pens, then the microfiber cloth included with your eyeglasses / sunglasses will be perfect. 2. If the thorough cleaning of your pen with the soft microfiber cloth is not enough, you may use an ebonite-safe solution such as Simichrome Polish. Apply the polish to the microfiber cloth, and polish the Ebonite fountain pen with the cloth. This will remove light oxidization, and add a glossier finish to your pen.
