TrueClot® Clotting Solution is designed to be mixed with TrueClot Blood Simulant to create realistic simulated blood clots for use in moulage, bleeding control, trauma, or surgical training. Use a 5:1 ratio of Blood Simulant to Clotting Solution to create robust simulated clots, or a 10:1 ratio for weaker, wetter clots. Clotting action is instant and produces highly realistic clots suitable for use on training manikins, live actors, or within advanced training scenarios. Clotted Blood Simulant can also simulate tissue avulsion by squeezing excess liquid from larger clots to create stringy, tissue-like material. Partially drying simulated clots results in denser, hematoma-like texture, while fully dried clots resemble scab-like material. The solution can also be applied to gauze or dressing material for simulated clotting during wound packing and haemorrhage control training. The treated gauze can be used wet or dried for future use. Simulated clots are non-hazardous, washable with soap and water, and safe for regular disposal. Note: Blood Simulant will not clot unless in contact with TrueClot Clotting Solution or Simulated Hemostatic Gauze.
