The Eggbutt Gag has a fixed ring with two small rings for the gag cheeks. It encourages the horse to keep its head up. Due to the fixed rings, the rein aids are conveyed more directly than when using the Loose Ring Gag. The pressure points are located on top of the head, just behind the ears, and in the corners of the mouth. The cheekpiece can be used with one or two reins. This cheekpiece is most commonly used with two reins, one attached to the large ring and the other to the ring of the gag cheek. This way, the rider can better dose the gag effect. Please note: The normal bridle cheekpiece is replaced by the gag cheek. The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity, the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more, which in turn will encourage a better acceptance of the bit. Sweet Iron bits are suitable for all horses. Please Note: Bits are not returnable.
