Aramid Fiber reinforced IMPP™ cone An extremely rigid yet lightweight cone is essential to avoid cone failure and distortion under high power. CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) was applied to create a curvilinear cone of varying thicknesses during the injection process, maintaining a balance between lightness (responsiveness) and rigidity (precise audio and tight bass). To further improve this rigidity-to-weight ratio, Pioneer uses an advanced process that integrates different materials, such as Aramid fiber, which resonate at different frequencies, creating a perfectly balanced cone across the entire bandwidth. Pioneer exclusive PFSS spider The Progressive Flex Suspension System (PFSS) effectively supports the voice coil by damping cone vibrations and improving the linearity of sound reproduction.
