This is a very heat tolerant fir that we've found growing in southern Alabama quite happily. The foliage is a wonderful dark green and the tree is quite fast-growing. This can be u sed as understock for other fir species which allows some other species to be grown successfully in the South. A must have for southern conifer collectors. [100'T x 30'W, Zones 6-9]. Plant in full sun or with some afternoon shade in slightly acidic soil that is consistently moist. Tolerant of clay soils. Show more
