Discovered in 1942, the Chihuahua Spruce and is an endangered species with just 25 small populations i n northwest Mexico, none comprising more than a few hundred trees. These seedlings are very attractive tree with blue-green needles, which resemble a Blue Spruce. The thin, scaly bark flakes off in small circular plates creating an interesting effect.
