This ebi onigiri (shrimp rice ball) keyring is made by Tsukasa Sample (つかさサンプル), a family-run food-replica work shop in Kawasaki, Japan, recognised as Kawasaki Meister — the city's highest honour for master craftspeople — across two generations since 1973. Each piece is sculpted from vinyl resin and hand-painted: individual rice grains visible on the surface, a crisp nori (seaweed) wrap at the base, and a small pink shrimp filling tucked inside. Because every keyring is built by hand, no two are quite the same. The onigiri has been part of the Japanese diet for over 2,000 years, originally as offerings to mountain gods.
