Blend of green Sencha tea & Matcha powder. Introduced to Japan by Buddhist monks, matcha is traditionally used for the tea ceremony. Three weeks before the leaves are harvested, th e tea trees are shaded in order to allow them to develop silky, milky aromas. Reduced to a fine powder, the matcha is mixed with the Sencha tea needles, to give a full-bodied and gentle liquor that the Japanese call umami (savoury). Brewing Suggestion 1. Water temperature at 70-80°C. 2. 2g of tea leaf per 250ml water. 3. Steep for 2-3 minutes.
