I built the Tuck Shop font the old‑fashioned way—real chalk, real slate, real texture. Every letter was drawn by hand on a naturally gritty chalkboard, and every imperfect edge was preserved, even when scaled up. That raw slate surface gives the font its unmistakable grungy swagger. Despite the roughness, Tuck Shop has a playful, childlike charm. It slips effortlessly into creative projects: children’s books, bold packaging, lively display graphics—anything that needs personality and a wink of nostalgia. It feels like the lettering you’d find outside cosy cafés, bustling bars, or hipster bakeries. Using it instantly conjures that warm, welcoming, slightly retro vibe, adding a hit of authentic character to whatever you’re making. If Tuck Shop were a food?It would be a rustic, hand‑shaped artisan sourdough loaf—crackly crust, soft centre, and proudly imperfect.
