About Tulip Founded in 1948 in Hiroshima, Japan, Tulip is a family-run business that started as a manufacturer of finishing needles. In 1953 they began to produce and export croche t and knitting needles for the handcraft industry and have since gained a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship. Today Tulip is run by the third generation of the Harada family, and their reputation for quality endures. Tulip strives to maintain the excellence demanded by the most discerning needlecrafters.
