Bryce’s music pulls no punches; her lyrics confront issues of class, privilege, and inner conflict, inviting listeners to face the harsh realities she lays bare. Tummyache itself has been a vessel for several long and short term creative partnerships within the framework of itself as a ‘band’, with Soren Bryce acting as the central force. ‘Repeat in Reverse’ - the fourth album due October 2026 - is an in-depth examination of the after effects of grief, through the personal experience of Soren losing her father two years ago. From intimate tape recordings from her flat to visceral screaming, it captures the cyclical nature of grief and it’s ability to invade and infect day to day life - how there is no light without dark, no acceptance without breaking, and no love without growth.
