Ribolla Gialla is a most revered variety of the natural wine makers found in Italy's north-east.Quealy established their Ribolla Giallo plot in 2018. Its a variety that suits a coo l maritime climate such as ours.Ribolla Giallo bunches are moderate in size, say 100 to 120 grams. Even so we only allow one bunch per shoot to ripen. After bunch closure in December, we remove excess bunches. It's a variety that in many ways has a similar personality and for us deem as aristocratic as Riesling. The variety is not as aromatic as Riesling but is indeed deeply perfumed. Acidity is high and although picked late, it keeps moderate sugar levels. Show more
