The Tusseladd Polar sweater! This is a gorgeous sweater that has color and warmth for the fall and winter. This pattern is designed by Linka Neumann. She designs lovely, warm Norwegian sweaters. Ellie Filius, our assistant operation manager here at the mill, chose to knit this with our Sheridan yarn. 'When I first saw Linka Neumann’s Tusseladd Polar pattern, I knew it called for a yarn that could deliver both structure and snuggly softness. Our 3-ply Bulky weight yarn, Sheridan came right to mind for this project. Our plush Sheridan yarn knits up with an almost blanket-like feel—perfect for curling up by the fire or strolling through a snowy meadow! We selected a warm, rustic color palette of Fern, Sorrel, and Paintbrush Red to highlight the sweater’s traditional Nordic design. For the main color of the sweater, we overdyed our Sheridan natural grey base in our Paintbrush Red colorway to knit into a soft heathered body. This colorway is an exclusive for only this kit! The bulky weight of our 3-ply Sheridan yarn made the project fly off my needles—perfect for knitters who love seeing quick progress. I was so excited to begin the project, I started winding yarn as soon as it was done drying on our racks! This was by far the quickest sweater I have ever knit, taking a little under a month to complete. The overall sweater construction is straightforward yet engaging, with clear instructions that make it accessible for adventurous beginners and seasoned knitters alike. I customized the neck for the sweater, knitting a folded high neckline. In paintbrush red, I knit appx 3 inches high in the 2x2 rib, ran out of paintbrush red, so I switched to sorrel to finish out the inside of the folded collar.
