The beautiful bright quilt started as a cot quilt design for our baby grand-daughters. I realised that as I progressed, I wanted to make bed quilts for them instead – allowing me t o play more with the bright fabrics that I had been collecting for a year. They are both organised scrap quilts with the exception of using a constant fabric for the backgrounds. Incidentally I used the same background fabric for both quilts just a change in the colour. The bright quilt has 24 blocks and finishes at 68” x 48” The muted wall-hanging with just nine blocks is 36” square. This is another of the “New Direction” quilts where I make a bright and bold quilt along side a muted version made in my signature taupe’s. Show more
