I love the brash confidence of magpies as well as their striking markings and rattle-like song. Once rarely seen and confined to rural areas, they were bound up in folk traditions and superstitions. I hardly saw them as a child. Now they are successful urban dwellers, competing noisily with the parakeets, crows and seagulls around my estate. Although far from superstitious, seeing two always brings me joy. Original artwork drawn in ink. Pattern size: 45cmW x 45cmH. Fabric is printed to order and dispatched within 14 working days.
