This painting depicts two abstract potted plants with intertwined greenery. With my flower collection, I am exploring texture, shape and different media, mark-making and color, along with the uniqueness of each individual flower. Acrylic paint on canvas, dimensions: 24 inches by 36 inches, 60 cm x 91 cm. I love to paint flowers because they are so inspiring in their color, shape, texture and each flower is completely unique. They can be painted in a million different ways. I also appreciate floral art as a way to display flowers when you cannot have them fresh in your house. One of my children has very severe allergies and we cannot bring flowers into our home, so I use floral art as a way to enjoy the beauty of flowers. *Note: I leave the sides (edges) of my paintings unfinished, I also do not varnish my paintings (I avoid adding any unnecessary chemicals to any of my work). Finally, I do not have any hanging wire on the back of the paintings so that when purchased, the owner can easily have them framed or display them the way they prefer.
