The Atlantic Puffin is often called the Clown of the Sea, with its huge, multicolored bill and the ability to dive to and fro underwater looking for food. A favorite among children for their squatty appearance and dart-like swimming ability, the Puffin breads in burrows on islands, and winters at sea. This image of a two Puffins is taken from a watercolour on paper painting by award-winning artist Daniel Mackie.
