Ty Segall does what Ty Segall does best on Possession: he melts your face off with fuzzed-out riffs and psychedelic swagger. This single is a gritty, high-octane blast that captures the raw essence of his garage rock genius in under five minutes. Originally released as part of Drag City’s limited 7" series, Possession comes backed with “Mother Earth,” a cover that pays homage to the bluesy soul of the 1970s with Ty’s signature sonic snarl. It’s a tight, no-frills package of mind-bending distortion and wailing intensity. For fans of his heavier, riff-driven material, this release is short, loud, and totally addictive—like a hit of rock ‘n’ roll adrenaline. An essential nugget for collectors chasing every shade of Segall’s wild musical personality.
