Tylaska plug fids allow for remote release of Tylaska’s trigger snap shackles. The fid is pushed into the trigger hole and is held in place by the spring action of the trigger. The two holes in the fid provide two different release options. A line attached to the hole in the head of the fid can be pulled perpendicular to the shackle to pull out the fid and release the shackle. A line attached to the hole in the point of the fid can be pulled back parallel to the shackle to release the shackle while keeping the fid captive with the shackle. It can also be used with no lanyard and operated like a lever for convenient release.
