Barbara Tylla is a 1960 graduate from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (New York Campus) and pursued a theater career until her marriage when she returned to her first love, w riting. In 1973 she began writing for the Christian and Inspirational field and for forty years her work appeared in numerous magazines in that field. Her short stories have won three Catholic Press Awards, and one of those stories, A Seat by the Window, was turned into a radio play which in 2015 won a Wisconsin Public Radio award for Best Community Impact Production. She took a rest from fiction to work on her memoir Exit Laughing which was published in 2025 by Merriam Publishers. The Snow Child, offered by Dancing Girl Press, is her first chapbook. Show more
