Also known as 'Greater Reedmace'. This is the common bulrush, it is taller and more vigorous than any other. It has dark chocolate-coloured seed heads. Not recommended for garden p onds it is better in large lakes. Attractive seed heads may be left all winter if desired but best cleared if they fall into the water.
