Oil Temperature Switch - Gearbox Oil Cooler in the automatic transmission cooling circuit. This switch is mounted on the gearbox oil cooler and monitors transmission fluid temperat ure. It forms part of the transmission thermal management system on Discovery 2 Td5 and petrol engines. Early-VIN vehicles fitted with this switch used it to signal overtemperature conditions in the automatic transmission oil cooler circuit.
