Uda seed or Negro pepper (Xilopia Aethiopia) is an aromatic spice commonly used in flavoring foods in certain parts of the world, including Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Brazi l, among others. Uda or Negro pepper is also known as selim pepper, Sénégal pepper, kimba pepper, Mohrenpfeffer, kili pepper, Ethiopian pepper, Kanipfeffer, African pepper, kieng, Selimskörner, moor pepper, Guinea pepper, Negerpfeffer, kani pepper, Nigerian pepper, Chimba, Eeru alamo, Hwentia pepper or whentia.
