The game is played like backgammon, except that the goal is to be the first to bear off your own captain, which starts on top of the 24 point. If the captain is unprotected (either a blot or on top of a point, no matter how many men are below), it may be moved backwards if your opponent throws a swirl. If the opposing captain is not in its inner table when you score a gammon, it counts as a backgammon instead. Show more
