You've pieced your quilt top—now it's time to turn it into a finished quilt! In this final session of the Ultimate Beginner Quilt series, students will learn the essential finishing techniques that bring a quilt from top to completed project. We'll cover layering the quilt top, batting, and backing; basting methods; basic quilting techniques; trimming and squaring up; and attaching binding for a polished finish. By the end of class, you'll have the skills and confidence to complete your quilt and apply these techniques to future quilting projects. Prerequisites: Completion of the Ultimate Beginner Quilt class and finished quilt top. Sessions: Two 2-hour sessions Materials: quilt backing and batting at least 4" larger than you quilt top. Backing should be pieced, if necessary, and ready to quilt. Please note: Depending on your quilting pace and project size, you may not complete all finishing steps during class time.
