Our Ultra Grip (also called Bonding Agent) allows for Fusion™ to adhere to surfaces that are typically not for painting such as a lacquered surface, melamine, thermafoil or laminate. Non-toxic, water-based ultra grip makes painting the impossible, possible! Times when primer is recommended: There is only 2 reasons you would need to prime. For adhesion, or to block stains and wood tannis from coming through the paint film. 1. To block stains and wood tannins/bleed through apply Zinnser Shellac BIN primer. This is not required, instead try using a transition colour like Sterling grey or our transition Transition to help cut down the number of required coats overall.
