Ultratherm Vivarium Heaters are trusted under-tank heat pads manufactured in Scotland for over 20 years to exacting European standards. UL listed and built with a unique double-laminated flexible fiberglass construction, these heaters are designed specifically for reptile vivariums — not repurposed from other industries. Available in four sizes to fit a range of enclosures, including sizes that pair perfectly with the belly heat recess option on Kages PVC enclosures. CHOOSE YOUR SIZE All four sizes use Ultratherm's low wattage density design, which keeps surface temperatures generally below 95°F — safe for most reptile species. Select the size that best fits your enclosure footprint or belly heat recess: Size Wattage Best for 11" 15W Smaller enclosures for hatchlings, ball pythons, juvenile bearded dragons, geckos, and smaller snakes 17" 22W Mid-size enclosures (4'–5' range) for adult ball pythons, juvenile boas, corn snakes, and adult bearded dragons 23" 30W Larger enclosures (5'–6' range) for adult boas, juvenile tegus, blue-tongued skinks, and other medium-large species 35" 46W Extra-large enclosures (7'–8' range and larger) for adult tegus, large boas, large monitors, and other big-bodied species needing a broad warm zone Important: Room temperature affects heat pad output. Always test temperatures with a thermostat before introducing your reptile. We recommend pairing any heat pad with a quality thermostat for safe, consistent temperature regulation. KEY FEATURES Manufactured in Scotland for 20+ years — built to exacting European standards with consistent quality control UL Listed component — meets recognized North American safety standards Low wattage density — gentle, safe heat that typically stays below 95°F surface temperature Ready to use out of the box — comes fully assembled, just plug in and place Double-laminated flexible fiberglass construction — durable and flexible; designed to conform under enclosures Repositionable — use a few small pieces of duct tape or packing tape to secure it, making it easy to remove and move to a different enclosure later HOW TO USE Place the heat pad under the enclosure — not inside it. Positioning it underneath keeps the element away from moisture, substrate, and live or frozen/thawed prey items. You can: Lay it flat under the enclosure without any tape, or Secure it with a few small pieces of duct tape or packing tape for a cleaner setup that still allows for easy removal later If your Kages enclosure was ordered with the matching belly heat recess, the Ultratherm pad is designed to sit flush in that recessed channel, keeping it protected and positioned directly under your reptile's preferred warm zone.
