First Edition, 1000 copies. Peter Piller is a German artist who archives, rephotographs and recombines found images. In Umschläge, which translates as “covers”, he reproduces the f ront and back cover of the magazine Armeerundschau published for the East German armed forces from 1956 to 1990. Each cover portrays a piece of military hardware or combatants while the back cover a pin-up. The project was included in a major retrospective of Piller’s work at the Fotomuseum Winterthur. Show more
