The Unghiarolo fig is a variety originally from Paolo Belloni and his famous Italian orchard called Pamona Gardens. Unghiarolo is one of the very rare heirloom figs that came from this conservatory. It made its way to the US through fig enthusiast Mario of Connecticut. Unghiarolo is extremely early ripening, which is why its a great choice for people with short growing climates. The trees produce a breba and main crop of small figs and the trees are very prolific. Terms and Conditions: ***Please be sure to read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing cuttings*** When do we ship cuttings? Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December): We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March. **All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees. Rooted Cuttings(Spring): We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span.
