In perfectly groomed offshore waves and onshore slop. Progression 125 Conceived as an exploration of the characteristics that define the Progression 140 foil. Through Unifoils research and development process, they recognized that the 140, while exceptional in its own right, primarily excels in delivering stability and performance from chest to head high waves. However, in the pursuit of accelerated performance, they acknowledged the need for a foil that can cater to faster and or larger moving waves as well as wing foiling speeds for riders of all levels. With the 125, Unifoil's goal was to preserve the fundamental and predictable feels of the 140 while introducing some key enhancements. They achieved this by focusing on 3 critical elements: speed, roll and efficiency. The 125 exhibits a significant increase in speed and roll, resulting in increased efficiency. Despite these advancements, Unifoil has ensured that the 125 maintains a forgiving low stall speed, providing riders with a broad speed range of easy usability. One of the standout features of the 125 is its heightened pump and glide efficiency. Changes made to the foil section, aspect ratio and wingtip curvature, have greatly enhanced the overall efficiency of the Progression 125. Riders are using less cardio to reach their next wave, saving energy for the wave face and foiling better. Progression 140 Meet your new daily-driver. It won’t just ignite your progression: it’ll put a match under it and blow it sky high. High aspect performance for high-level pros and average joes. Progression 170 This foil is a true unicorn that has a super low stall speed with the increased glide and pumpability of a true high aspect, while still turning like a mid aspect surf wing. Progression 200 With the 200 we started with the feel and efficiency of the 170, but wanted to create something for smaller energy, downwinding and light wind winging. We optimized for surf feel and glide. It’s a big foil that doesn’t feel like a big foil in turns... Words from Erik Antonson: "I wanted the design to be intuitive and trustworthy, so you can focus on your foil surfing, not trying to manage the foil. I think we have achieved that with this wing. This wing, I can say, excels in every facet of what makes foiling fun. "The foil market in general has been equating performance with speed, and been on a quest to ride the smallest, fastest foil. This has pushed the foils out of the working range of most riders and made staying on foil over longer periods much harder. "What the Progression foil does in its essence is to redefine performance, not by what is the fastest and most radical foil, but by what foil will let you maximize your performance on the wave, and increase your ride time. "The Progression foil design objectives were to create the most fun foil experience possible. Flying is fun, and more time flying is more fun. The only limit to time on foil is the rider's cardio level. Glide and efficiency is how you reduce cardio output for longer ride times. "However, you don't want to limit your performance on a wave in the quest for glide. For high-performance wave riding, you need to be able to roll the foil easily from side to side, and trust it through turns. "Pitchiness is the enemy of trust, so the foil section had to excel in glide, while not getting pitchy through the normal speed range.
