Limited edition Indie Exclusive "Gold Nugget Legendary" colour vinyl. Widely regarded among UMO's finest work. Like with every UMO project this one is very different from the rest. Is an hour long double album full of mellow and groovy tracks. The album takes a bit of inspiration from the 70s and 80s more specifically the sounds of Jazz-Rock and Soft Rock; like Ruban is really channeling his inner Steely Dan on this thing. That being said, this still sounds like UMO record especially with the band’s signature lo-fi production and I actually feel like UMO hasn’t been this lo-fi probably since II. Overall, Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s fifth album is great and easily one of their best. It’s the groups most relaxed and chilled out record yet. Show more
