He began practicing photography in 2013, receiving training in basic, advanced, street, and documentary photography from leading Turkish instructors. He later earned a degree in Photography and Cinematography from Anadolu University. His work has been published in various magazines and recognized in numerous competitions. In 2023, he was named Street Photographer of the Year. Turgut’s photography has been featured in many group exhibitions, including On the Edge, The Voice of the Street, Imaginary Cities, Best of 2018 & 2019, Navigating the Invisible, City Stories, Turkish Street Photographers, and others. Story Behind the Image: While walking through a park in Istanbul, I happened to pass a bridge and spotted a man painting the new path below—his position made it look like a bird’s-eye view. I quickly grabbed my camera and captured the fleeting, colorful moment.
