"The Blue Hour" 36x48" acrylic on stretched canvas. I was lucky to spend a lot of mornings in the dewey glow that glimmers in coastal mountain air before the sun starts poking thro ugh the mist in the redwood mountains above Santa Cruz CA. Cloud forests and rainy days are like this too - exhaling a pungent earthy aroma and humming blue-green. I lovvvvve the forest when the air is like this. My goal with this one was to work with phthalo/emerald greens - to swim in a immersive and submersive feeling, and see what comes of it. Show more
