Giant Cardamine (Hydrocotyle leucocephala) is a fast-growing and charming stem plant native to the marshes and slow-moving waterways of South America, prized in the aquarium hobby for its distinctive rounded, shield-shaped leaves that cascade along slender, trailing stems. Despite its common name, it is not a true Cardamine but shares a similarly delicate, naturalistic quality that suits both planted aquariums and paludariums beautifully. Its vigorous growth and adaptability make it an excellent nutrient absorber, and in open-top tanks it will readily grow emersed, producing small white flowers above the waterline.Propagation: Take stem cuttings or separate runners with roots attached and replant into the substrate.
