(estimated weight for whole beef share). - Half Beef: 10% based on 200 lbs. (estimated weight for 1/2 beef share). - Quarter beef: 10% based on 100 lbs. (estimated weight for 1/4 beef share).Deposit secures your share of the animal The remaining balance is due on or before October 31, 2026. Estimated Take-Home Weights Actual weights vary based on the animal, but typical take-home amounts are: - Whole beef: ~400 lbs - Half beef: ~200 lbs - Quarter beef: ~100 lbs Split orders (half or quarter) include a balanced mix of cuts from the whole animal. What to Expect (Cuts Overview) Your share will include a variety of premium and everyday cuts, such as: - Steaks (ribeye, T-bone, NY strip, sirloin) - Roasts (chuck, sirloin tip, round) - Ground beef - Brisket - Short ribs - Stew meat and soup bones Cut options can be customized based on your preferences. Cut Instructions After harvest, the butcher will contact you directly to collect your cutting instructions. Harvest & Pickup Timeline - Harvest date: October 31, 2026 - The butcher will contact you approximately 7–14 days after harvest - Beef is typically ready for pickup 10–21 days after harvest Pickup location: Mountain View Meats Customers pay any additional processing upgrades directly to the butcher at pickup.
