Featuring hand dyed colours by Bramble Ridge in Mission, BC Batch Three 50% Merino from Mendenhall Wool Ranch in Marysville, CA 50% Gotland x yearling from Rose Ranch in Prince George, BC 2ply / Approx 100g / 225m / 15 WPI The Design: I have been OBSESSED with blending long wools and fine wools for the past few months. It started on my carder with a merino/gotland blend like this one and I loved the spin and resulting yarn so much. I brought a few batts with me to a wool show in March and have since experimented with all kinds of fine+long wool type combos and ratios, sent them out in my Sommelier Fibre Clubs and harassed my friends to try the blend. I seriously cannot get enough! So when I was looking at the raw wool shelves and dreaming of things to send to Shelterwood, this batch practically jumped out and attacked me. I went with the original classic and grabbed a Mendenhall merino (we have worked with many and know them well) and a Gotland x from a producer up north that we get loads of great wool from. This yarn is super unique, really lively and has good drape and squish. Love love LOVE. Milled at Shelterwood Fibre Mill in Vernon, BC
