Z-Man Graph ShadZ 3.8" The Z-Man Graph ShadZ is a 3.8-inch minnow-style soft plastic designed specifically for modern forward-facing sonar fishing and subtle horizontal presentations. Built from Z-Man's durable 10X Tough ElaZtech, the Graph ShadZ combines a realistic baitfish profile with a thin spear-shaped tail that responds to small rod movements, making it ideal for targeting suspended bass and fish tracking baitfish in open water. Whether you're watching individual fish on forward-facing sonar or simply need a subtle minnow presentation for pressured bass, the Graph ShadZ is designed to stay stable and respond to precise angler input. Designed for Forward-Facing Sonar The Graph ShadZ was developed specifically around the way anglers fish with modern forward-facing sonar. Instead of relying on aggressive paddle-tail action, the bait is designed for controlled movement and subtle rod inputs. That allows anglers to present the bait naturally to individual fish while watching how they react on sonar. Subtle Spear-Tail Action The Graph ShadZ features a thin spear-shaped tail designed to respond to subtle movements from the rod tip. Small shakes, twitches and changes in retrieve speed transfer directly into the bait. This creates a more natural, restrained presentation than a traditional paddle-tail swimbait — particularly useful when bass are suspended or reluctant to chase an aggressively moving lure. Stable Horizontal Presentation A wedge-shaped body helps stabilize the Graph ShadZ during the retrieve. That stability is important when you're trying to maintain a controlled horizontal presentation in front of suspended fish. The design helps keep the bait tracking naturally while allowing the tail to respond independently to subtle movements. Built for Jighead Rigging The Graph ShadZ features a flattened head designed to mate cleanly with a jighead. That makes rigging straightforward while creating a streamlined baitfish profile. Choose jighead weight based on: Water depth Wind Current Retrieve speed Target depth How quickly you need the bait to reach a fish When targeting suspended fish, use enough weight to maintain control without making the presentation unnecessarily aggressive. 10X Tough ElaZtech The Graph ShadZ is molded from Z-Man's 10X Tough ElaZtech material. The extreme durability helps the bait withstand repeated strikes and reduces the need to constantly replace torn soft plastics. ElaZtech's natural buoyancy also contributes to the bait's presentation in the water. 3.8" Baitfish Profile At 3.8 inches, the Graph ShadZ provides a versatile forage size for bass feeding on shad and other small baitfish. The profile is substantial enough to attract quality fish while remaining compact enough for pressured bass and finesse-style presentations. It's particularly useful when fish are focused on suspended schools of smaller forage. More Than a Forward-Facing Sonar Bait You don't need forward-facing sonar to fish a Graph ShadZ. The same subtle minnow presentation can be effective for: Suspended bass Schooling fish Open-water bass Pressured fish Fish feeding on shad Vertical presentations Mid-strolling Hover-style presentations Slow swimming retrieves Forward-facing sonar simply gives anglers another way to precisely place the bait in front of individual fish. The Graph ShadZ is designed for a different job than a conventional paddle-tail swimbait. Rather than generating aggressive tail vibration on its own, it gives the angler precise control over the presentation. The stable wedge-shaped body, subtle spear tail and jighead-friendly head design make it especially effective when you're trying to hold a bait naturally in front of suspended fish. Add the durability of 10X Tough ElaZtech and you have a purpose-built minnow presentation for one of the fastest-growing techniques in bass fishing. Premier Tackle Take The Z-Man Graph ShadZ is the bait we'd reach for when bass are suspended and focused on smaller baitfish rather than relating directly to bottom or heavy cover. This isn't a bait you need to overpower with action. Rig it on the appropriate jighead, get it to the depth of the fish and use small rod movements to bring the spear tail to life. If you're using forward-facing sonar, the real advantage is being able to watch how individual fish respond. If a bass follows without committing, change the cadence, depth or amount of movement rather than immediately changing baits. And even without forward-facing sonar, the Graph ShadZ gives you an excellent subtle minnow presentation for schooling and suspended bass. Premier Tackle — We Carry What Works.
