This small, one-of-a-kind collection is inspired by the ocean and made using a layered fused glass technique I've been working on in the studio. Each piece—necklace, earrings, or r ing—is completely unique, and only a handful will be made. I start by stacking six layers of glass and fusing them together, then slump the glass over a wavy mold to give it a subtle, organic movement. After that, I saw the glass into thin strips, cap each one with clear glass, and fuse it again. Finally, I shape and fire the pieces one last time before finishing them as wearable art. Each design features gold-filled or sterling silver chain and a hand-strung pearl.
