A footed scallop shell dish by Bruce Fox, the American mid-century metalsmith celebrated for his sculptural cast metalwork in shell, leaf, and fruit forms (he designed the iconic s hell pieces for the Wilton Company). The fan of ribs radiates from a fluted hinge up to a softly waved edge, hand-finished and bearing Fox's scratched script signature on the reverse.
